The Navagraha ( 9 planets ) temples are situated in and around the thanjavur district. so when u make a trip to these temples u can stay either at kumbakonam or at thanjavur . but these 2 places have good hotels for ur accomodation. It requires just 2 days to visit the 9 temples completely. Thanjavur and kumbakonam are accessible thru bus route from all major locations and it has less trains now due to broad gauge conversion.
